MANILA, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Two elderly women were killed after they were trapped in a house fire in Cavite province, southwest of Manila, local police said Saturday.

Police said the blaze, which broke out on Friday morning, razed the house of the victims.

Police did not give details of the victims or whether there were other family members in the house.

The fire was put out and investigators said they are looking into the cause of the deadly fire. ■
